COPRODUCTION

Eponymous Object Anomalous marks a new stage in Meryem Bayram’s exploration of the autonomy, position, and identity of objects. For this exhibition, she created  installations that engage with the space and are activated at specific times.

The phrase "eponymous object anomalous" carries a poetic juxtaposition grounded in three distinct yet interconnected concepts: the eponymous, the object, and the anomalous.

Eponymous Object Anomalous encapsulates the tension between human desire for stability and the inevitability of disruption. By naming and associating objects with identity, humanity seeks to impose order, yet anomalies remind us of the complexity, unpredictability, and dynamism inherent in existence.
