0032 is the mirror image of 0090
Platform 0090 has always been a place for exchange and international residencies, under the label 0032. Artists are invited to travel and explore new contexts. Since 2008, 0090 has organised an artistic exchange with Istanbul, in which artists engage in dialogue with a new environment and become acquainted with the cultural scene in Istanbul and Turkey.
The 0032 programme began with Meg Stuart & Damaged Goods and has continued with artists such as Abattoir Fermé, Marc Van Runst, Meryem Bayram, Clément Layes, Enkidu Khaled, Benjamin Vandewalle and Bart Lodewijks. In an initial phase, they share their working methods and artistic practice with the local artistic scene and art students, and vice versa, through workshops and performances. These initial encounters often form the basis for new productions and lasting artistic collaborations.
With 0032, Platform 0090 aims to create a context in which cultural exchange becomes possible within a globalising artistic practice.
0032 creates mutual learning experiences, builds a transnational network and stimulates transdisciplinary exchange between different artistic contexts and environments.
